Grandma Sita learned to paint tapa when she was young—it’s something she just picked up naturally and stuck with her whole life. That’s always been her real talent. Lately, though, she’s been getting into painting landscapes after watching Bob Ross. She doesn’t just watch—she studies him, rewinds, paints along. This piece is one of those. She paints everything by hand, no help, no shortcuts. Just her, some paint, and a quiet space to work.
Her true gift is in her hands—she grew up painting tapa cloth the traditional way and still carries that same steady skill today. While she’s known for her tapa and craftwork, she also finds joy in painting landscapes after discovering Bob Ross, who inspires her to try new things and just “keep painting.” From traditional to modern, Grandma Sita does it all.
She’s shared her crafts from Tonga to San Francisco and now here in Hawaiʻi. Every item is made with care, culture, and her signature quiet strength.
